Countryside and Waterways

Northwich and the surrounding area of mid-Cheshire has 70km of waterways including the River Weaver Navigation, the Trent and Mersey Canal and the River Dane. These waterways together with the salt industry they supported have given the area a legacy of woodlands, parks and lakes. Attractions include the Marshalls Arm Nature reserve, Northwich Woodlands, Ashtons and Nuemans flashes, Marbury Park and the Anderton Nature Reserve all of which sit adjacent to the town centre giving it a unique and high quality natural environment.
