A new South African style restaurant, deli and doughnut shop has opened in Barons Quay bringing a unique dining experience to Northwich.

 

Culinary Concept is owned by married couple Rayner (34) and Lynika (32) Müller who have worked in the food industry for over 14 years, moving from South Africa to the UK in 2008.   When Rayner was made redundant from his Executive Head Chef job in 2018 the ambitious couple decided to set up their own family business and work towards their dream of owning their own restaurant.

The new restaurant, which is next to Crate Cheshire and Sticky Paws at Barons Quay, is open daily from 9am, serving brunch, lunch, pizzas, coffees, cocktails and beers.  There’s also food to go with a deli counter offering fresh salads and sushi plus you can sample their famous doughnuts when you eat in or take away.

 

The menu includes a diverse range of dishes from doughnut french toast to sweetcorn samosas! There’s also a delicious pizza menu and Lekker Trays to share – with both meat and vegetarian options to choose from.

The store has a small shop where customers can pick up South African style delicacies as well as locally sourced food products.

 

Co founder and owner of Culinary Concept Rayner Müller said: “We’d like to thank everyone who has supported us on this journey and visited the store so far.  We’ve had such a positive response from local people who have never tried food like this before, but have embraced it and the feedback has been wonderful.”

Culinary Concept is open 9am-5.30pm Sunday – Thursday and 9am to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
