A quick guide to Northwich restaurants

NEWS

Whenever you visit anywhere – whether you’re staying for a few nights or just passing through – the question that is no doubt always on everyone’s minds is; where are we going to eat? Nobody likes wandering the streets looking for somewhere, so why not plan ahead beforehand? Thankfully, we’ve done most of the legwork for you. So if you’re ever in Northwich – perhaps out for a day of shopping at Barons Quay – why not pop into one of these five delectable eateries?

Wildwood

Perfect for a little bite to eat after some retail therapy, Wildwood restaurant sits in Barons Quay itself, creating a bright and airy environment for you to relax in no matter what the occasion. The chefs here have worked hard to create a balanced menu of modern and classic dishes, so we’re sure there’s something for everyone. Pasta or pizza, a light bite or seasonal special, they all use simple and fresh ingredients for the tastiest meal possible.

The Fishpool Inn

Situated on the very edge of the gorgeous Delamere Forest, the Fishpool Inn is a modern take on a traditional pub. The building itself may date back to the 18th century, but the food inside is a little more contemporary, and we’re sure you’ll love it. Inside the decor is country rustic to create a warm and cosy atmosphere, with delicious food to match. Whether you prefer the hearty pub classics or fancy something like a wood-fired pizza, this gastro pub can provide.

Blue Cap

Sometimes you can’t go wrong with a good old-fashioned pub, and Blue Cap is here to bring you exactly that. This country pub may look quaint on the outside, but there’s a no-nonsense vibe to this eatery that we just can’t get enough of. Located in the charming village of Sandiway, this stone-built pub dates all the way back to 1716. It’s not all style, as the food is certainly worth sampling too. Pub classics, burgers, grill, sharers, sides and puddings – this place has it all.

Kanya Bistro

Delicious food and a fantastic atmosphere; what more could you want? Kanya Bistro is a step away from the traditional countryside pubs that we know and love, towards something a little trendier. They also offer outside catering and even private dining, so if you’ve got a special occasion, be sure to get in touch. If that wasn’t enough, their menus will keep you satisfied whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even afternoon tea.

Cheshire Bar & Grill

Situated in the beautiful village of Lach Dennis, Cheshire Bar & Grill is a fantastic country pub that offers traditional food as well as their speciality; premium 35-day aged steak. Even if you’re not after some food or a hearty meal, it’s the perfect place to pull in for a cheeky drink. Behind the bar you’ll find an incredible selection of lagers on draught, ciders, ales, wines, cocktails and a gin or two.

Chime

Last but certainly not least we have the stunning and contemporary wine bar and eatery that is Chime. It combines rustic and trendy seamlessly, so you will not be disappointed if you like a little nice decor to look at while you eat. Describing itself as “multi-cuisine”, we’re sure there’ll be something for everyone in your party. The flatbreads and salads come highly recommended, along with the breakfast menu.
