Competition to Design Kids Club Mascot

NEWS

Local children are being given the opportunity to design a mascot for the new Barons Quay Kids club, which will launch this spring.  The winning designer will see their character brought to life by a professional artist, and used on posters, social media and the Barons Quay website.

Barons Quay will launch its new kids club this spring, parents can sign-up to discover all the family-friendly activities taking place at the centre, free events, exclusive offers and be entered into a monthly prize draw.

To take part in the Design a Mascot Challenge, children aged 11 and under must create a character that is happy, fun, energetic, exciting and colourful! They also need to give their mascot a name and provide some information about their personality such as their favourite food, hobbies and what they like to do at Barons Quay.

Drawings of the mascot can be done using paint, pencils, crayons or felt-tips and should be on an A4 size sheet of plain white paper.  To submit an entry parents need to go online to www.baronsquay.co.uk/mascotcompetition to register their details and upload a digital version of the design.

The winning design will be redrawn by a professional illustrator and used to promote the BQ Kids Club events and offers.  The creator of the mascot will win a framed drawing of their character plus a £50 toy bundle from The Entertainer toy shop.

Lina Higuita, Barons Quay Centre Manager said: “Every club needs a mascot and as Barons Quay Kids Club is for local children, we thought that it would be only right that they should design the mascot, including their name and personality.

“We’d love to see some colourful characters that would inspire children in the local area. Perhaps they’re related to Northwich’s history or maybe someone from the future with super powers – we are open to all ideas!

“The new kids club will bring together all the brilliant family things happening at Barons Quay: from the latest offers at The Entertainer to the best kids films at Odeon, the new clothing range at River Island to the new kids menu at Sticky Paws! Parents who sign-up to our monthly newsletter will get the chance to win prizes, get exclusive offers and be the first to find out about family activities!”

The deadline for entries is Monday 21st March. Barons Quay will announce the winning design by the 28th March. To find out more and read the full competition terms and conditions visit: www.baronsquay.co.uk/mascotcompetition.
