Performers of all ages and genres were invited to apply by uploading a song to The Radio Northwich website.  There were 23 entries, one duo, eight groups and 14 solo artists. DJ’s at the station were then asked to shortlist the 12 best.

John Thompson from Radio Northwich said: “We have had an overwhelming response to our search, it was difficult to pick the final 12 as the quality of applications was so high.   We are now looking forward to two live music events that will show some of the brilliant music talent we have right here in Northwich.

“We hope to provide a platform for these aspiring musicians; who will not only perform at the event but will have their music played on Radio Northwich too.”

Lina Higuita, Centre Manager at Barons Quay said: “Congratulations to those who made the final line-up and thank you to everyone who applied. This great mix of musical talent will entertain visitors at Barons Quay and bring a much-needed party atmosphere to Northwich this summer.”

The events will support Rotary Northwich who will be fundraising for the following local causes: Snow Angels Cheshire, St Luke’s Hospice, Salvation Army and Mid-Cheshire Community Shed.
