Performers Invited to be Part of Music is Quay!

Radio Northwich and Barons Quay have come together in a bid to find up and coming musical talent to take part in some exciting outdoor events in the town.

Music is Quay will showcase bands, singers and musicians with two days of live music at Barons Quay this summer.  Hosted by Radio Northwich, the events will provide a platform for artists and allow them to perform for visitors at the shopping centre.

Taking place on the 14th and 28th August the events will feature up to 6 live acts, each will be given a 30 minute slot to perform and will be promoted on the station to thousands of listeners. 

Performers of all ages and genres are invited to apply by visiting The Radio Northwich website and clicking any Music Is Quay image or going straight to www.radionorthwich.co.uk/musicisquay page. Entries to be logged no later than 31st July 2021. 

Artists will need to register through the Radio Northwich VIP club and then upload their stage name, photo and one music track. 

The Music Is Quay events will be filmed and members of the public will be asked to vote for their favourite on social media – the winning act will be invited to perform at the Radio Northwich launch event on 11th September.

John Thompson from Radio Northwich said: “Radio Northwich is all about music and the community, so Music is Quay brings both of these together brilliantly! We are looking for all different types of artists from opera to jazz, rap to acoustic guitar – the more diverse the better!

“Perhaps you’ve just started your musical journey or maybe you’ve been gigging for years but never had your big break – if you love to perform we want to hear from you.  The best acts will be selected to be part of Music is Quay and the public’s favourite will join an impressive lineup of musicians at our launch event on September 11th.”

Lina Higuita, Centre Manager at Barons Quay said: “Due to Covid we know that many music events have been cancelled this year, so we’re delighted to be bringing some live events to the shopping centre with the help of Radio Northwich.

“Music is Quay will bring that party atmosphere while showcasing the musical talent in our area in a safe environment for everyone to enjoy.”
