The Night-Time Bus Service From Winsford To Northwich Barons Quay

Winsford now has an opportunity to get the night-time bus service to the exciting Barons Quay shopping centre. It is a new service that will run on Fridays and Saturday evenings and will have four journeys in each way. However, it is only in between 6:45 pm and 11:15 pm.

The directory of place strategy at the Chester Council, Alison Knight, said: “Currently there are no services between the two towns in the evening. The new Nightlife Express fills this gap, ensuring leisure and cultural activities are available for everyone.” This highlights how the Barons Quay development is helping improve the economy, the city, and the transport links. It also means that the people of Winsford have a direct route and service to all the companies that are based within the Barons Quay.

Arriva had previously withdrawn their services, claiming that there were not enough people who used the service, however with the Barons Quay opening, it provided an attraction. Not only does it provide a direct route to the Barons Quay but it is also quicker than the normal daytime service.

The marketing director at Arriva, Julie Linforth also commented: “We’re delighted to be offering this new night time bus route… Visitors will be able to travel to and from the destination with ease of regular services, as well as very reasonable fares for couples and families.”

Andrew Elvis, the general manager at the Odeon Cinema in Northwich said: We are delighted that there will be an extra, late night bus service, allowing more people to safely enjoy the entertainment at Barons Quay.”

As we can see many people are excited about the new transport links that are linking Winsford to Barons Quay. Arriva have also gone that little further and worked the cinema times alongside cinema times so that people are able never to miss out on their chosen movies.
