Raft Racing comes to Northwich. Will you be entering?

NEWS

The Northwich River Festival, organised by Northwich Rotary Club and their partners, will be held on Saturday and Sunday July 14th and 15th based at Barons Quay.

For the first time Raft Racing will be taking place on Sunday 15th and we are looking for Companies and groups of friends to enter this fun event

Up to 6 people can be on a raft which they have built before the event. Each raft must have 8 or more parts (no boats!). The crew must be sitting down and the rafts are to be propelled by hand made paddles

The race will take place on the River Weaver and all the crew must be 16 or over and good swimmers. The cost to enter is £100 per raft

Chairman John Walton has said ‘the Raft Race will be a fun event where crews can enjoy building their rafts and sailing them. They can also raise sponsorship for the NRF charities The Alzheimer’s Society, RNLI and other Rotary charities. We are hoping that at least 10 crews will enter.’

Full details of how to enter and the terms and conditions can be found on the website Northwichriverfestival.org.uk
